A confident woman- improving self-confidence

A lot of people struggle with a lack of self-confidence, usually as a result of uncertainties about their appearance and their abilities, as well as how they measure up to others. If you are one of those people, you need a self-confidence boost. Consider three confidence boosters that will enable you to see yourself in a more positive light.

Give Of Yourself

To make yourself feel more confident you need to take advantage of your strengths. Think of something you’re good at doing, and help someone using that skill you have. This will surely give you a confidence boost, a reminder that you’re very useful.  Don’t help others solely for the purpose of getting something in return, but do so because it is the right thing to do. Do not do so to get the praise, people don’t praise people that much in this world. Make a positive impact by doing random acts of kindness and by lending a helping hand. You don’t have to do anything major to help others. Just being there for your family and friends can be enough.

Make Friends

Make sure your friends bring out the real you—not a persona that you create just to fit in.  A good support system helps you stay focused on your best qualities. Identify the people in your life who leave you feeling awesome after you spend time with them. Make plans with friends and family members who make you feel good and who offer encouragement to you. Engaging in unwise acts just to impress others will leave you feeling degraded and used.  You need a friend who might boost your self-confidence in a healthy way, not negatively through the use of substances and bad habits.

Bounce Back From Your Mistakes

Sometimes low self-esteem results when we compare our weakness to another person’s strength. Treat yourself well, and be forgiving when you slip up. We all make mistakes. Everyone starts as a beginner, so don’t expect yourself to be good at everything right away. Keep going, and you’ll get where you want to be.  It’s easy to let your fears stop you from doing what’s most important to you. When you push past fear, however, your confidence grows, and it gets easier to do what makes you happy.
