Ned Nwoko addresses marital crisis with Regina Daniels as he opens up about the state of his marriage and his views on polygamy in a recent interview with Channels Television.

When asked if everything was calm on the home front, the politician and husband of actress Regina Daniels said he was “trying to manage the situation,” expressing optimism that peace would be restored.

Interviewer: “I hope everything is calm and under control on the home front?”
Ned Nwoko: “We are trying to manage the situation.”

His statement comes days after reports of domestic violence allegations between him and Regina went viral. In a widely circulated video, Regina was seen surrounded by men while her brother, Sammy West, confronted thugs allegedly sent to her by Nwoko.

Responding to the controversy, Nwoko released a statement claiming that the tension stemmed from what he described as Regina’s “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse.” He alleged that she resisted attempts to get professional help and had displayed violent behavior at home.

However, Regina’s family members, including her brothers Sammy West and Sweezzy, dismissed the claims. Sammy, who appeared in the viral video, accused Ned of assault, while their sister, Destiny Daniels, shared photos of Regina’s injuries, denying any reconciliation between the couple.

In the midst of the family drama, Nwoko’s brother, Dr. Michael Nwoko, appealed to the public for understanding, stressing that the matter was a private family issue that would be resolved internally.

Meanwhile, the billionaire politician also used the interview to defend his choice of a polygamous lifestyle. Nwoko, who is married to multiple wives, said he sees no reason to regret his decisions.

“Standing on one leg is very difficult, but standing on two, three, or more is balanced. I feel sorry for those who marry one wife because it’s like standing on one leg. I don’t regret marrying multiple wives — I would do it again. I respect my wives and love them and my children,” he said.

The senator’s comment on polygamy has since stirred fresh debate online, with many Nigerians divided over his perspective.

It will be recalled that last year, Nwoko praised Regina in the presence of friends and her mother, describing her as a “rare gem.” He revealed she had several suitors before their marriage but maintained her purity until they wed.

Regina Daniels, who married Nwoko in 2019 at age 19, once explained that she chose to marry an older man because she needed someone she could respect and be submissive to.

As the public continues to react to the ongoing situation, many are hoping both parties find peace and resolution away from social media.
