Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu loses Instagram account and has now opened up about the unexpected incident, sharing how she was suddenly locked out and unable to recover years of memories, work, and connections.

Regina, who returned to Instagram with a new page, posted an emotional video explaining how the situation unfolded. She said the experience left her deeply frustrated, especially after building her community for years, but she has chosen to move forward with courage.

Speaking on her new account, she wrote:

Hey everyone, I just want to let you all know that my previous Instagram account was taken unexpectedly. I lost access and couldn’t recover it, which honestly felt frustrating after all the time, memories, and connections built there. But I’m choosing to start fresh and keep going. This is my new and only official account for now, as we are still recovering the previous one. If you’ve supported me before, please follow this page, stay connected, and let’s grow again. Your support means everything to me.
New beginnings, same energy, same me.
Thank you for being here.

Her situation mirrors that of actress Biola Bayo, who previously lost all her Instagram accounts after repeated reports. At the time, Biola said those trying to silence her were not fighting her but opposing God’s work in her life.

Beyond the Instagram setback, Regina has never shied away from sharing her life’s journey. She has spoken openly about losing her husband when her youngest child was only four months old. She recalled his painful health battle, which drained their finances and eventually claimed his life, and the emotional weight of watching him plead for mercy from his mother.

In March, while celebrating her birthday, Regina reflected on how far she has come as a widow who never stopped grinding. In December 2023, she announced proudly that she had finally built her own home.
