Can Liverpool sneak into the top 4?

Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager

After a terrible start to the season, Liverpool finds themselves chasing a spot in the top 4 with three games to go. The Merseyside team could play Europa League football next season if they miss out on the champions league places.

With Diogo Jota and Mo Salah in fine form, Fabinho more stable with Alexander Arnold in midfield, and fewer errors by the defenders, Klopp’s men have won six games in a row for the first time this season.

Liverpool are currently a point outside of the top four, with fourth-place Manchester United also holding two games in hand over Klopp’s squad.

Speaking about his side’s top four chances, Klopp has said:

If United and Newcastle win all the games, then how can we get there? If they start losing, then we are close. Until then, we have to win football games to qualify for Europe at all. Brighton played one of the best football games this weekend I’ve ever seen in my life, I have to say, Roberto De Zerbi, wow. They are behind us with two games in hand. Aston Villa are developing. If we can keep them behind us, that will already be a success.”

Rio Ferdinand predicted that the Reds could sneak into those places. However, no one knows who might slip up for that to happen.

Would it be Manchester United? Would it be Newcastle?
