Samuel Chukwueze, a winger for Villarreal, has been named La Liga’s African Player of the Season. When new manager Quique Setien took over at Villarreal, Chukwueze’s season took a dramatic turn for the better.
The international player from Nigeria finished the season with goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
Since moving to the Estadio de la Ceramica, the 24-year-old had his most successful season there. Several European teams, notably Real Madrid, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United have been connected to Chukwueze because of his remarkable performance.
During the 2019 season, Villarreal welcomed the quick winger. Prior to being transferred to the senior side, the player first competed for the second team.
