It’s okay to not be okay

“It’s okay to not be okay”. It sounds to me like I’m staring at the most beautiful sky I’ve ever seen.
It feels to me like I’m hearing “relax and take a deep breath of fresh air”. The title of this article reminds me of a series I watched. I learnt tons of stuff while watching it. Ever since then,  the title stuck.

Everyone knows all about how life is always filled with highs and lows. How one person can have it worse than another and another person wouldn’t even be able to relate. Because that’s just the way it is. Since we’re all clearly different, we can’t live life the same way.

This post just serves as a little reminder. To say that you’re never alone and we’re all experiencing life together. To say that when it gets hard, you can talk to people about it. The way they react to your hardship will then tell you if you should keep them in your life or not.

To say that if you’d rather not talk about it, that’s totally fine. No one should make you feel guilty for not talking about it because I trust that you will when it’s absolutely necessary.

To remind you to take care of yourself too because no one can love you the way you do. To say, to take it easy because no one can hate you the way you do. Let it go, the decision you regret making. Those comments you made hurt you and others? The comments you received that scarred you? Let it go.

And if you can’t let it go right now, that’s okay. Because taking your time to heal is essential. In case you forgot, I want to remind you that you’re special in every way and you deserve the best things.  To say it’s okay to not be okay, don’t be too hard on yourself.
