J.Cole, the 38-year-old rapper, revealed during an episode of the “Lead by Example with Bob Myers” podcast that he started smoking cigarettes when he was just six years old.
The “No Role Modelz” rapper shared that he was smoking regularly around his neighbourhood, trying to fit in with older kids his brother was hanging around with.
However, after two or three weeks of smoking, it all came to an end when his older brother found out and told their mother.
J. Cole saw the disappointment on his mother’s face and realized for the first time that his actions could hurt someone else. He said that the moment was life-changing, and he became a self-corrector.
