Luigi Mangione was discovered with a manifesto, a rifle, and a silencer, all of which revealed his disdain for the healthcare system.
However, Mangione has not been charged in connection to Thompson’s murder.
When a McDonald’s employee saw Luigi Mangione enter their Altoona, Pennsylvania, location, he was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a handgun.
Jessica Tisch, Commissioner of the NYPD, said:
“Members of the Altoona Police Department arrested Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old male, on firearms charges.
“At this time, he is believed to be our person of interest in the brazen targeted murder of Brian Thompson.”
Prior to a business session, Thompson was shot and killed last week in Midtown Manhattan. One of the biggest health insurance providers in the United States is UnitedHealthcare.
