Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has shared a heartfelt message following the recent assassination attempt on her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie.
Taking to her Instagram, the actress posted reflective photos, expressing how pain has shaped her journey.
She captioned the post:
Pain made me pray; prayer made me powerful.”
The message resonated with her fans and fellow celebrities, who showed support in the comments. Actress Regina Daniels commented, “My gorgeous queen,” while veteran actress Rita Edochie wrote, “Exactly. 100 percent.”

Mercy’s post came just a week after an assassination attempt on her husband. According to reports, the federal lawmaker narrowly escaped the attack, which occurred at their residence in Uromi. Quick action from security personnel prevented the attack from succeeding.
The incident occurred after Mercy faced criticism for campaigning for Senator Monday Okpebholo in the upcoming Edo State gubernatorial election. Despite the backlash, the actress stood firm in her support, encouraging voters to rally behind the candidate.
In a previous post, Mercy Johnson had also shared her thoughts on revenge. She emphasized that she doesn’t seek revenge on anyone, stating that life has humbled her, and all she wants is for people to stay away from her.
