Senator Ned Nwoko has stirred reactions online after sharing an interesting video on domestic violence. The politician and businessman posted a clip on his Instagram story showing a lady assaulting her boyfriend, captioning it simply, “This is funny.”
The post has since fueled conversations, especially as it comes while he faces public tension with his actress wife, Regina Daniels.
Ned’s recent social media activity has left many questioning his intent. The video, which showed a woman physically attacking her partner, quickly went viral and sparked diverse opinions from fans.
Some social media users accused the senator of trying to make light of a sensitive issue. One user wrote, “Agbaya Daddy is trying to twist the physical assault he made on Regina.” Another commented, “This man is manipulative!”
Others, however, believed it was simply humor taken out of context. “He probably has a social media handler; the person needs a raise ASAP,” one fan remarked.
This online buzz follows Regina Daniels’ emotional revelation last week, where she claimed to be experiencing domestic violence in her marriage. In a viral video, the actress tearfully shared that despite her fame, she doesn’t feel like a queen in her husband’s home.
In response, Nwoko denied the allegations, attributing the ongoing marital issues to what he described as Regina’s “struggles with drugs and alcohol.” He claimed his efforts to get her professional help had been rejected and accused her of violent behavior at home, including attacking staff and damaging property.
During an interview on Channels Television, the senator confirmed he was working to manage the situation, insisting that things were under control.
Meanwhile, Regina’s siblings have publicly defended her. Her brother, Sammy West, accused Nwoko of assault and expressed disappointment at those mocking his sister. Another brother, Sweezzy, dismissed the claims of drug abuse, saying no marriage is perfect. Their sister, Destiny Daniels, also shared photos of injuries allegedly inflicted by Nwoko while denying any reconciliation rumors.
Despite the controversy, Regina appears to be focusing on a fresh start. She recently announced the purchase of a new home in Ikoyi, Lagos, sharing photos of the mansion and noting that she wanted “a roof over her head” for herself and her children.
The actress was also spotted in Lekki shopping with her assistant, where she pleasantly surprised fans who recognized her by giving them cash. Reactions online praised her for her kindness, with one commenter saying, “Gina is a good lady. God bless her and give her strength to pass through this phase.”
