#EndSARS Victims: Senate Approves Compensation Bill

The management of the Red Chamber (Senate) in Nigeria on Friday has postponed its resumption to Tuesday, May 2. Chinedu Akubueze, Clerk of the Senate, said this in a statement issued in Abuja. On April 5, the Red Chamber of the National Assembly (NASS) postponed the plenary session to April 25 due to the Easter and Salah holidays.

Akubueze informed all distinguished senators that the Senate’s resumption had been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 2.

The federal lawmakers are, by the notice, requested to resume sitting in plenary on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m prompt.

Meanwhile, the NASS management is set for the inauguration of the 10th Senate and House of Representatives members.

NASS officers and the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, would induct the newly-elected parliamentarians.

There will be two batches for the induction program: Batch A from the 7th to the 13th of May and B from May 14th to May 20th.

The officials will conduct a program to take the legislators through the functions of the National Assembly. They will explain its practices, procedures, and the services available to the legislators.
