Nollywood actress Jumoke George, whose heartfelt revelations touched the hearts of many Nigerians, has been blessed with life-changing gifts from compassionate individuals.
The veteran actress, who recently opened up about her struggles with homelessness and deteriorating health, received a four-bedroom duplex, an SUV, and a plot of land, thanks to the kindness of her supporters.
Jumoke George’s junior colleague, Biola Bayo, announced the incredible gesture on Instagram, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the veteran’s dream come true.
“Today, we present a 4-bedroom duplex, an SUV, and a plot of land from @ayokmagproperties1 @ayokmag to @jumoke_george,” Biola shared.
“Thank you to everyone who made this dream a reality. I’m grateful.”
In addition to the property and vehicle, Jumoke’s daughter, Adeola Omotosho, received a deep freezer and cash gifts from a benevolent Nigerian.
In a candid interview with Biola Bayo, Jumoke George revealed her hardships, including being homeless for over five years and living in her church. She also spoke about her health challenges, including undergoing brain and heart tests, and her inability to afford the necessary medical care.
Adding to her struggles was the pain of her 41-year-old daughter, Adeola, being missing for four years.
With the help of Biola Bayo, actor Adeniyi Johnson, and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission chairperson, Abike Dabiri, Adeola was located. In her first interview, Adeola disclosed a harrowing tale of being sold for ₦1.5 million and enduring life in Mali under severe conditions.
Through tears, she tendered an apology to Nigerian mothers, stating:
“I wasn’t a bad child. Please forgive me.”
The actress has previously recounted how she faced rejection from her parents. After her parents’ divorce, her decision to stay with her father led to abandonment by her mother, while her father’s new wife strained their relationship.
