Osun State, Partners with UNIPRENEUR to Train 5,000 Job Seekers

The Director of the Osun Social Investment Programme, Kehinde Ibitoye, on Monday, said the state government’s plan to empower more than 5,000 job seekers through a program called Entrepreneurship Development Learning Initiative.

Mr Ibitoye revealed the plan in a statement obtained in Osogbo. The program is said to be sponsored by UNIPRENEUR, an e-learning platform for international digital entrepreneurship. They are in partnership with the state government and Fidelity Bank Plc.

According to him-

“this initiative is in tandem with the present administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s commitment to create job makers across the state who will in turn create job opportunities for Osun State job seekers.”

Ibitoye stated that over 5,000 indigenous entrepreneurs, small and medium-scale enterprise owners, job seekers, corps members, and graduate students would –

“get stimulated entrepreneurship knowledge economy, get access to over 600 profitable business ideas and stimulated business knowledge.”

He also mentioned that beneficiaries would have –

“access to various business opportunities in Africa, register their companies with the Corporate Affairs Commission and get access to other legal services.”

“The first phase of this initiative will only allow the selected 5,000 Osun State participants to seek entrepreneurship knowledge online and get certificates of learning at the end of 30 days learning period,”Ibitoye said.
