Sad Rashford - Manchester United loss

Marcus Rashford is a doubt for Manchester United’s trip to Bournemouth on Saturday after picking up an illness.

The Manchester United number 10 returned to training earlier in the week to the delight of United fans.

The red devils had to cope without Marcus Rashford for the home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, though the Reds managed to overcome their opponents and secure all three points.

United, though, will have centre-back Raphael Varane to call on and potentially Scott McTominay, too, as he steps up his recovery from injury.

“Rashy (Rashford) trained well the whole week but today he reported he is ill. We have to see how he recovers during the day and see tomorrow.” Ten Hag confirmed on his media chat.

Defeats against Brighton and West Ham prior to the victory over Wolves coupled with Liverpool’s strong finish to the season have put United’s Champions League hopes in some jeopardy.

United will look to finish the season strongly by qualifying for the Champions League, and trying to beat the in-form Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
