Nigerian military troops raided camps owned by six terrorists on the edge of the Sambisa forest in Borno state. They reportedly killed scores of Boko Haram members, as part of Operation Hadin Kai.

According to Lake Chad riot control expert, Zagazolla Makama, troops came from the 21st Task Force Bama Brigade. Troops were reported to have made contact with some terrorists during combat patrols, cleared the general area where they had been attacked and eliminated, and recovered gun trucks.
