Will Sex Improve Our Relationship?

An intimate couple - Will Sex Improve Our Relationship?

This is an important question to ask because there are testosterone-filled wild people moving around using ‘relationship‘ to get ladies to have sex with them. Sex is good, of course. Without sex, none of us would exist. But does it improve a relationship? Well, not necessarily. Let’s see some reasons why:

Reasons why Sex Can be Good.

The closeness created and experienced during  sex strengthens emotional connection, bond, and commitment. It maintains a healthy level of intimacy and love which human beings need. Sex maintains the spark in a relationship. It preserves the desire to stay together. Confidence increases with sexual satisfaction. This is because sex helps boost one’s self-esteem. This, in turn, can create a good and healthy impact on social and romantic relationships.

Reasons why Sex might not be Good

Most youths who have engaged in premarital sex say that they regretted it afterwards. After having sex, each partner begins to wonder, Who else has he/she had sex with? There is also this rude awakening that comes after sex: Deep down, many girls would prefer someone who will protect them, not use them. And many boys find that they are less attracted to a girl who has given in to their advances.

In addition to the above, a number of boys have said that they would never marry a girl they have had sex with. Why? Because they prefer someone who is more chaste. Please remember, the reality of premarital sex is far different from what is shown in movies and on TV. The entertainment industry glamorizes teen sex and makes it look like harmless fun or even true love. But don’t be naive. Those who would try to coax you into premarital sex are only looking out for their own interests. Yes, some may really love you. But how do you tell?

You can show Love without Sex

While sex can be a great form of intimacy, it’s certainly not the only way to be intimate with someone. Affectionate touch, for example, can be a great way to be intimate. Some non-sexual forms of physical intimacy include massages, kissing, cuddling, and holding hands. Beyond physical intimacy, emotional intimacy — including honest, vulnerable conversations — can also be important to many people when it comes to relationships.

It can be difficult to deal with a situation where one person feels that sex is essential in a relationship while the other person doesn’t want to have sex. Similarly, it can be difficult if one person has a high libido while the other person has a low libido. However, it’s not impossible to manage. Communication can be extremely helpful.

The bottom line is, not everybody needs to have sex in order to have a healthy and happy relationship. It is important that you decide as a team; however, don’t be deceived into thinking you must have sex. No, you don’t have to!
