Cote d’Ivoire legend Didier Drogba has reckoned the Super Eagles will be a tough nut to crack for the Elephants at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The hosts will face the three-time winners in their second Group C game at the Alhassane Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan, on January 18.
Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau are the other teams in the group.
The top two teams in the group are guaranteed a place in the Round of 16.
Drogba reckoned that the Super Eagles were a big team that would pose a problem for his countrymen.
“There’s no such thing as a generous draw because all the teams deserve to be here, and they’re going to fight,” Drogba, who scored 65 goals for the Elephants, told the BBC.
“Nigeria, with Victor Osimhen and all the players they have, is a big team. We mustn’t forget the other two teams because there are always surprises.”
The 2023 AFCON finals will run from January 13 to February 11.
