Job Description
The company requires to fill the role of a Solar Energy Marketing and Installation Expert to manage the development of projects, contracting, and supplies related to solar energies together with related sales, equipment installation, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare solar installation project proposals, presentations, quotes, contracts, budgets, or schedules.
- Provide technical information about solar power, solar systems, equipment, and services to potential customers or dealers.
- Demonstrate the use of solar and related equipment to customers or dealers.
- Generate solar energy customer leads to develop new accounts by identifying potential customers.
- Select solar energy products, systems, or services for customers based on electrical energy requirements, site conditions, price, or other factors.
- Provide customers with information such as quotes, orders, sales, shipping, warranties, credit, funding options, incentives
- Gather information from prospective customers to identify their solar energy needs.
- Develop marketing or strategic plans for sales territories
Installation Responsibilities
- Installing solar panels and other equipment on roofs or in other outdoor locations
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on solar panels
- Helping to design and plan new solar panel systems
- Consulting with clients about the costs and benefits of different solar panel systems
- Installing inverters, batteries, pumps, and other equipment used in conjunction with solar panels
- Performing regular inspections of solar panels for damage, wear, or other issues
- Conducting site surveys to determine the best location for solar panels and other equipment
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining solar energy systems in homes and businesses
- Repairing electrical panels, wiring, and other components of a solar energy system
- Write functional documents of intelligent analytic tools to automate reports and big data calculation processes.
- Perform numerous energy audits of lighting and HVAC systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
- Conduct energy audits, recommend energy-efficient lighting and HVAC measures, and write audit reports for school districts and universities.
- Perform quality assurance inspections to verify energy retrofit installations.
- Produce impact assessment framework and report that used climate change models to identify system vulnerabilities that can lead to catastrophic outcomes.
- Manage retrofit and direct installation projects with team members
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as engineering, science or business. A master’s degree would be an added advantage
- 7 years and above work experience in a related role
- Having knowledge of Project management software — Cost estimating software; Microsoft Project; Oracle Primavera Enterprise Project Portfolio Management; Oracle Primavera Systems would be an added advantage
- Ability to effectively communicate with persons outside organization, supervisors, peers, or subordinates
- Ability to convince others to buy merchandise/goods or to otherwise change their minds or actions.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
- Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
