In a surprising disclosure, American reality star Kim Kardashian recently opened up about her past involvement in football and the reasons behind her decision to step away from the sport after a six-year stint. The 42-year-old mother of four revealed that while she loved the game, her lack of proficiency led her to quit football.
Speaking on the sidelines of the DRV PNK Stadium during the Inter Miami vs Cruz Azul Leagues Cup match on Friday, July 21, Kim shared her football journey. She disclosed that during her time on the field, she had experienced playing as both a goalkeeper and a striker.
Despite her enthusiasm and love for the sport, Kim admitted that she didn’t possess the necessary skills to excel in football. Nonetheless, she expressed her joy in seeing her son show a passion for the game, as it allows them to bond over shared interests.
Quoted by Sportkeeda, the TV star stated,
I played soccer for five or six years. I was a goalie and a center-forward. I loved it, so I’m happy that my boy loves it and that we can come and hang out. They’re so excited and that just makes me so excited. I’m happy to be here with Victoria and David and everyone.”
The Kardashian family, including Kim and her children, were among the selected celebrities present to witness Lionel Messi’s highly-anticipated debut for the Major League Soccer club, Inter Miami.
