In a bid to restructure their squad under the guidance of new manager Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea has made multiple attempts to secure Ecuadorian star Caicedo.
However, their latest offer of £80m has been swiftly turned down by Brighton. The two clubs remain engaged in negotiations, with Brighton placing a value in excess of £100m on the player, citing Arsenal’s £105m deal for Declan Rice as a reference point.

As the transfer saga continues, Chelsea faces the decision of whether to make a fourth offer for the highly sought-after Caicedo, while they have already signed three players and offloaded 13 during the summer window.
Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi has made it clear he wants Caicedo to stay.
