In a setback for Manchester United, midfielder Mason Mount has been ruled out of action until the September international break due to a minor injury.

The 24-year-old England international, who joined the club in July, has played a pivotal role in the Red Devils’ opening two Premier League matches against Wolves and Tottenham.

The injury was confirmed by a statement on ManUtd.com, which stated that Mount would miss the upcoming game against Nottingham Forest after sustaining the injury during the encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.

This injury comes as a blow to Manchester United’s midfield options, with Fred having already departed for Fenerbahce and young talent Kobbie Mainoo also sidelined from an injury during pre-season.

With Mount’s absence, Manchester United will look to regroup as they prepare to face Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

The midfielder’s recovery timeline coincides with the upcoming September internationals, where he is expected to make his return to action for both club and country.

As the Red Devils aim to bounce back from their recent defeat, the absence of Mason Mount could pose a challenge for Erik ten Hag’s side. United fans will eagerly await his return to the pitch, hoping for a swift recovery and a strong performance upon his comeback.
