Nigerian-born Midfielder joins Qatari side Al Bidda SC from Arsenal

Nigerian-born midfielder Tim Akinola joined Arsenal as a pro from Huddersfield Town in August 2020. Before then, Tim was at Lincoln City where he impressed and progressed into their first-team squad in the EFL Trophy. While at Lincoln City, he also spent some time on loan with non-league side Lincoln United..

During the 2020/2021 season, Akinola had a standout year in Arsenal’s academy, making 26 appearances across various competitions. His skill and dedication were on full display as he contributed significantly to the team’s success during this campaign.

The subsequent season witnessed Tim Akinola embarking on a short-term loan spell with Dundee United, further honing his abilities and gaining valuable experience.

Last season saw Tim feature for National League side, Chesterfield on a season-long loan where he made 31 appearances in all competitions, helping them reach the play-off final at Wembley.

The 22-year-old has never made a senior appearance for Arsenal, and now seems set to leave the club permanently, heading to Qatar, and is set to be unveiled by his new club after signing a three-year contract
