Nollywood legend Richard Mofe-Damijo, affectionately known as RMD, recently shared candid insights on the difficulty of remaining faithful in a marriage during a conversation with renowned comedian Teju Babyface.
In the interview, RMD acknowledged that staying faithful to one’s spouse is a challenging endeavour. He pointed out that married men often become targets for individuals with less-than-honourable intentions, making it a formidable task to resist temptation.
RMD began by saying,
It is very hard, let’s face it. Every one of us that is married, we are the target, I mean look at women, how can we escape it?”
His frank admission highlighted the reality that temptations are a part of married life. He drew parallels between such individuals and biblical figures like Jezebel and Delilah, known for their roles in plotting the downfall of men in the Bible.
The veteran actor stressed that the only way to counteract the efforts of these individuals is by standing firm and unwavering, just as an army commander would. He emphasized the importance of men maintaining their strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
RMD also touched upon the idea that, in such situations, husbands should step up to protect their wives and themselves from potential influences that could lead them astray.
