Reality star and Big Brother Naija (BBN) winner, Phyna, has addressed the recent controversy surrounding accusations of not returning a wig she allegedly rented for an event.
The wig owner took to social media, tagging Phyna and urging her to return the rented wig, sharing screenshots of negotiations with Phyna’s team attempting to discuss a lower price.
Initially expressing weariness at online criticism and labeling the accuser a “clout chaser,” Phyna later clarified the situation in a live video. She claimed that she doesn’t know the accuser and suggested that her management team might have handled the wig transaction without informing her.
Confused about the entire situation, Phyna revealed that she paid for the arrangement while abroad and, upon returning, attended the event with the wig without being updated by her management team about its return. She stressed her lack of awareness regarding anything related to the wig.
I’m so clueless, I don’t even know what’s going on. Even right now I don’t know what to do about these whole issues because I am so confused. I don’t know her. I’ve never spoken to that person before,” Phyna stated.
Despite the controversy, Phyna described herself as a “child of grace” who has overcome challenges. She confidently dismissed haters, stating that anyone trying to bring her down is wasting their time. Celebrating the success and positive reviews of her recent movie “Osato,” Phyna expressed her gratitude.
A few days ago, Phyna shared her excitement after receiving a call from a Nollywood legend, dubbing her the “new cat of Nollywood,” adding another positive aspect to her recent experiences.
