Nollywood actress Joke Silva has penned a heartfelt appreciation post following the celebration of her husband Olu Jacobs’ 82nd birthday.
The ailing veteran actor received an outpouring of love from Nigerians, and his wife marked the occasion with a special tribute. She shared a video collage on Instagram featuring Olu Jacobs at different points in his prime, concluding with a clip of him relaxing in a lounge.
In a recent post, Joke Silva expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support, revealing that she had received over 4,000 messages. She pondered how to adequately thank the public and showered prayers upon them.
You fans, family and friends of Sir J…Mr Oludotun Bayeiwu Jacobs (MFR) @_olujacobs knows how to love on him shaaa…Wow…over 4,000 messages and still counting!!!! How does one say thank you in such a way that it is commensurate to the gift for which one is appreciative? In a broken world, reaching out with compassion, appreciation and joy…wishing people well…confirms that our shared humanity is not lost. May the Lord, the God of our ancestors, increase each and everyone a thousand times and bless you as He has promised (Deut 1:11). On behalf of the Jacobs clan, thank you and a resounding AMEN to all the prayers.”
Joke Silva’s appreciation comes a week after an unfounded rumour claimed the veteran actor had passed away. The family quickly debunked the news by sharing a video of Olu Jacobs getting a haircut, proving he was alive and well.
In 2021, Joke Silva opened up about her husband’s health condition, revealing that he is battling dementia. She later admitted that his illness has put a strain on their marriage, but emphasized that she still loves the man he has become.
