Solomon Buchi, a well-known Nigerian author, has outlined signs that suggest a person had a poor upbringing. He mentioned behaviours like wearing revealing clothes, feeling entitled to others’ money, and lacking respect when speaking to elders.
In a recent post, Buchi criticized gospel ministers who incorporate social media trends and secular musical lyrics into their ministration. He voiced his dissatisfaction on his X page, stating that this act tarnishes the sanctity of the Christian faith.
It’s sad to see ‘gospel ministers’ incorporate trendy and secular musical phrases into their ministrations. This isn’t gospel music, neither is it a ministration. It’s just emotionalism; employing every possible means to gyrate listeners. I’m sick of it!” Buchi wrote.
He also condemned the incorporation of trends like the 12345678 chant into praise and worship, arguing that it disrespects the reverence due to God. Buchi called for recognizing some gospel musicians as entertainers rather than ministers, emphasizing that God deserves the highest respect in worship.
