Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has opened up about her spiritual journey in a heartfelt Instagram post.
The popular DJ shared photos from a recent event where she had the rare opportunity to blend two of her greatest loves: DJing and serving God. Describing the experience as a blessing, Cuppy expressed her gratitude to the event organizers for allowing her to share her faith through her craft.
In her post, Cuppy admitted that she initially felt nervous about curating a performance exclusively with Christian music. However, she found strength and guidance in her faith, which helped her overcome her apprehensions. She emphasized that Christian music is vibrant and full of life, urging her followers not to misunderstand its impact.

Cuppy’s spiritual journey has been particularly prominent in recent months. Following her broken engagement to British boxer Ryan Taylor, she and her younger sister, Temi Otedola, took a significant step in their faith by getting baptized in May. The sisters shared moments from their baptism ceremony, which their mother, Nana Otedola, attended.
In response to Cuppy’s growing connection with her faith, her mother sent her a heartfelt prayer, expressing confidence that God would guide Cuppy to a man who shares her dedication to Him. Nana Otedola also voiced her pride in Cuppy’s spiritual transformation, acknowledging how her daughter is becoming her best self while drawing closer to God.
Despite her spiritual growth, Cuppy has candidly shared her struggles with being single. In a humorous yet sincere revelation, she mentioned how her single status has led her to write “Jesus” as her emergency contact on forms. She also confessed to questioning God after receiving a proposal email from an admirer, wondering if he could be the one, and hinted at attending a Christian program in hopes of finding the right partner.
