Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has returned to social media after taking a break to mourn the death of her ex-husband Saidi Balogun’s first daughter.
Last week, it was a tragic Sunday for Saidi Balogun, as he lost his first daughter. Faithia, who was once married to the actor, shared in the grief, referring to the deceased as a dear relative. She temporarily stepped away from social media to reflect and pray during the difficult time.
Upon her return, Faithia took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the support she received. She acknowledged the kindness of those who reached out, checked on her, and kept her in their prayers. Describing their encouragement as a great source of strength, she thanked them wholeheartedly.
This past week has been a time of reflection and prayer,” Faithia shared. “Thank you to everyone who reached out and kept me in their prayers. Your support has been a great source of strength, and I am truly grateful.”
She also offered prayers for peace, blessings, and new opportunities for her followers as they enter a new week.
Faithia and Saidi Balogun were married over 20 years ago at a registry in Ikorodu. However, their marriage ended four years later, with a highly publicized and messy divorce. Saidi had cited irreconcilable differences, and he requested that Faithia drop his surname, Balogun, after their split.
Despite their troubled past, the former couple has since made amends. Earlier this year, Saidi Balogun celebrated Faithia’s birthday with a heartfelt note, offering love and prayers. Faithia, in turn, reciprocated by sweetly celebrating Saidi’s birthday.
In April, Faithia surprised many fans by referring to herself as Faithia Williams Balogun on social media, reintroducing her former marital name as she apologized to her fans, causing a stir online.
