Popular Nigerian skitmaker and content creator Abisi Emmanuel, known as Nasty Blaq, has spoken out against the ongoing disrespect toward music star Davido.
Over the weekend, Korty EO, a Nigerian YouTuber and filmmaker renowned for her celebrity interviews, voiced her frustration on social media. Korty revealed that after getting permission from Davido’s team to re-edit and post an old interview, they later withdrew their consent, leaving her feeling frustrated and prompting her to share her experience publicly.
In response, Nasty Blaq took to Twitter (now X) to express his dismay at the frequent disrespect shown to Davido. He noted that Davido’s only intent is to help others, yet he continues to face undue criticism.
The disrespect Davido is getting is way too much. The man just wants to help people, and that’s all,” Nasty Blaq tweeted.
Many users weighed in on Nasty Blaq’s tweet, showing strong support for Davido.
- Ooj Couture wrote, “My point exactly, it’s too much.”
- Mr. Moraks commented, “It’s the same reason people love him so much. Everyone feels close to him.”
- Perckss___ advised, “He should learn from Wiz and stop being too available.”
- DJ Magic Beatz added, “Davido deserves respect, honestly.”
- Captain Tattoo Temple remarked, “That’s why Wizkid doesn’t make himself too available.”
Davido himself has addressed his approach to accessibility, sharing during his June wedding that those who criticize him for being accessible should try showing up uninvited. Recently, Davido mentioned on X that he’s focusing more on his family and trying to become a better version of himself, with fans noticing the changes in his behavior since his marriage.
