Adenike Adeleke, daughter of Governor Ademola Adeleke and cousin to music star Davido, recently shared her thoughts on how people often take accessible individuals for granted.
Taking to Twitter, now known as X, Adenike expressed that showing too much love can lead others to treat you as weak.
When you show too much love, they play you like you’re weak,” she tweeted.
Adenike’s tweet appears to be in response to the recent backlash her cousin Davido received from Nigerian YouTuber Korty EO, who voiced her frustration with Davido’s team over an interview re-edit that didn’t go as planned. Korty had taken to social media to vent her disappointment after Davido’s team reportedly agreed to the re-edit but failed to follow through.
Notably, comedian Nasty Blaq also commented on the situation, highlighting the constant disrespect Davido faces despite his genuine desire to help people.
Adenike’s tweet sparked mixed reactions, with many agreeing with her statement, while others speculated that it might relate to her rumoured relationship with music producer Young John.
