Media personality Daddy Freeze has reacted to the backlash surrounding President-elect Donald Trump’s announced plans for mass deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants.
After news of Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election, his campaign confirmed its commitment to strict immigration enforcement, sparking heated discussions.
Taking to social media, Daddy Freeze expressed his confusion over the outrage, asserting that individuals living in a foreign country without proper documentation should either regularize their status or return to their home countries. He criticized what he described as “selective morality,” stressing that illegal immigration remains unlawful.
I’m so sorry, but I don’t understand what is wrong here,” Freeze wrote. “If you don’t have documents, go to your country. Simple. Why are you in another man’s country without papers? Sort your papers out or go home! Being an illegal immigrant is NOT LEGAL!”
His statement has drawn mixed reactions from social media users. While some agreed with his stance, others highlighted the complexities involved, especially when families are at risk of being separated.
- I Am Dr Soul commented: “It’s easy for you to say. Until you hear the stories of the undocumented.”
- Lilian Divine Mwongeli added, “Exactly my point. Trump has a right to send all home.”
- Fara Seun echoed, “Don’t mind them. Everywhere I have been to, I have gone legally. Why do we just like doing bad stuff?”
- Gemi Nigurl60 remarked, “Exactly!! We Africans must stay in our country and fight for a good system!!”
- Bimbethy countered, “It isn’t that simple!! Haba, there are children involved. This will split families.”
