Nollywood actress Ibinabo Fiberesima has sparked a wave of discussions online after sharing photos with her ex-lover, Fred Amata.
The ex-couple, who were once married and share a daughter, reunited at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 20th edition, where they posed for pictures together. Ibinabo expressed her love for Fred, referring to him as her daughter’s father in her Instagram post.

This reunion comes just days after Ibinabo had a heartfelt moment with Agatha Amata, Fred’s ex-wife. In a post featuring Agatha, Ibinabo played Peter Okoye’s song “Winning,” with the lyrics, “I will rather congratulate you than hate you,” and expressed admiration for both women. She praised them for their strength and hoped they would continue to thrive.
Fred and Agatha, who divorced in 2005, share two children, Oreva and Stephanie. Agatha has since spoken about how the breakup affected her, even though she acknowledged that their marriage wasn’t working. She highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship, as an unhappy home can never raise happy children.
After his split from Agatha, Fred moved on with Ibinabo, and the two were once rumored to be back together due to their public appearances as a family. However, Ibinabo later clarified that they were not rekindling their romance, but simply maintaining a cordial co-parenting relationship.
Fred, who had once praised Ibinabo for being a caring and thoughtful individual, reaffirmed his admiration for her on social media. In a comment on her post, he wrote, “Ever thoughtful, ever caring IB with your big heart. Love you too.”
