Funsho Adeoti, the first wife of Nollywood producer and marketer Kazim Adeoti, has addressed the public with a message about the power of thanksgiving, even in difficult circumstances.
Taking to Instagram, the mother of four shared a scripture from 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to emphasize the importance of gratitude:
“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us. Thankful in all circumstances, even when those circumstances are difficult.”
Funsho’s post comes amidst criticisms she faced for sharing a thanksgiving message shortly after her husband’s second wife, Mercy Aigbe, suffered a major loss. Mercy reportedly lost property worth millions of naira in a fire incident.
While Funsho’s post reflected her routine gratitude practice, some netizens found it insensitive given the timing, while others defended her, highlighting that she frequently shares uplifting messages on her platform.
Mercy Aigbe, also married to Kazim Adeoti, had expressed immense gratitude to her supporters after the devastating incident. She revealed that her phone was flooded with calls, messages, and prayers, which gave her strength during the difficult period.
Though details of the fire incident remain unclear, the actress and her husband have received an outpouring of love and support from fans and colleagues alike.
