Wumi highlighted how the project, which began as an uncertain idea, evolved into a masterpiece that resonated deeply with audiences. She acknowledged the immense love and support she received from fans, colleagues, and the cast and crew of the movie.

“Thank you, Nigeria. It was a worthy, humbling, and impactful experience. Oh yes! A great experience exploring the wider market, and to be very honest, it was a learning curve for me.
My gratitude knows no bounds. Thank you to everyone who came out to support me. Thank you for your love towards Queen Lateefah.”
She added that the smiles and satisfaction on viewers’ faces after watching the movie were unforgettable, and she looks forward to more projects that will bring joy to her audience.
2024 has been a monumental year for Wumi Toriola, particularly in her filmmaking career:
- Wumi was recently honored as the Box Office Champion of 2024 by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).
Queen Lateefah earned ₦57.7 million in its opening weekend, setting the record for the highest Nollywood opening weekend for a non-holiday release and the highest ever by an independent distributor. - In September, her movie reached 4 million views on YouTube within a month.
