Nollywood actor Jerry Amilo has sparked controversy after condemning a married woman for leaving her unfaithful husband and allegedly engaging in a relationship with a married man.
In a now-deleted Instagram video, Jerry questioned the woman’s decision to end her 18-year marriage over infidelity while reportedly dating another man who is married.
The actor expressed disbelief at her actions, questioning why she left her marriage only to pursue a similar dynamic with someone else’s husband. His remarks ignited a heated debate online, with many accusing him of being judgmental and supporting double standards.
Social media users did not hold back in their criticism of Jerry Amilo. Some labeled him as a supporter of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, while others accused him of seeking attention. Comments ranged from outright insults to questions about why he was so affected by the woman’s choices.
One Instagram user wrote,
What’s your business who she decides to be with? Jealousy will finish you.” Another added, “Go and resurrect your dead career instead of criticizing her.”
This isn’t the first time Jerry Amilo has faced backlash. Earlier, he came under fire for sharing a graphic video of his colleague, Junior Pope, in a lifeless state following his death. Critics accused him of insensitivity, citing the emotional toll the video might have had on the deceased’s family.
