Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared some candid advice for married couples, urging them to seek affirmation and hype from their spouses.
In a video posted on Instagram, Yul, still celebrating his birthday, included a clip of his second wife, Judy Austin, offering her support and admiration for him.
The video featured Judy’s voice in the background, and Yul, basking in the praise, advised his married followers to expect the same kind of appreciation from their partners:
“If your spouse doesn’t hype you like this, no gree for am.

Yul’s message quickly sparked debate, with some supporting his views, while others were critical of his marital situation, especially given the controversy surrounding his relationship with Judy Austin.
Blessing Nkiru Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, voiced her support for Judy Austin’s relationship with Yul Edochie, despite backlash from critics. Judy had previously shared a video where she prayed for her husband, claiming she was blessing him after he had blessed her with a beautiful morning.
In response, Blessing CEO took a jab at the critics, especially the fans of May Yul Edochie, Yul’s first wife. She advised Judy to serve her haters “tears for breakfast” and controversially encouraged men to leave their wives if they weren’t being hyped like Judy Austin praises Yul.
In a heartfelt moment, Yul Edochie also remembered his late son, Kambilichukwu, on what would have been his 18th birthday. Yul shared a photo of himself with Kambilichukwu, expressing how much he missed him and hoping that his son was able to continue watching over their family from beyond. The actor’s post was an emotional tribute to the son he tragically lost.
