Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has started the New Year with a firm declaration of love and protection for her family.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared heartfelt photos featuring herself, her son, and an unidentified man, emphasizing the importance of family above all else.
Tonto expressed her commitment to safeguarding her loved ones, vowing to protect them with her life. In her post, she declared her readiness to face any challenges or threats against her family while maintaining wisdom in dealing with negativity.
She wrote:
“My Family over everything.
You see this, my little tiny family,
I will di@ protecting them with my life.
If they have to prepare for WAR, I am ready too.
But I’m not stupidly ignorant to ignore their foolishness.”
Tonto Dikeh has been candid about her experiences as a single mother. In 2024, she shared advice with fellow single mothers, reflecting on her decision to walk away from her marriage to businessman Olakunle Churchill. She described the move as the best decision for her well-being and her child’s future.
Though she admitted there is no manual for single parenting, Tonto shared that her guiding principles are love and faith in God, which provide her with strength.
Tonto and Olakunle Churchill, who tied the knot in 2015, separated in 2017 amidst allegations of infidelity and domestic violence. Their public disagreements have continued over the years, with Tonto accusing Churchill of being a neglectful father, claims he has denied.
Churchill has since remarried actress Rosy Meurer, who was at the center of the cheating allegations, and the couple has welcomed two children together.
Tonto Dikeh’s recent posts have also focused on personal growth and transformation. She described 2024 as the most transformative year of her adult life, highlighting how she experienced love, growth, and moments that brought her immense joy.
In another reflective post, Tonto wrote about understanding one’s identity in a complex world, emphasizing the impact of actions done in secrecy. According to her, these choices have a lasting effect on one’s thoughts, decisions, and future.
