Award-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has added another Grammy to her accolades. The Afrobeat sensation won the Best African Music Performance category for her hit song Love Me Jeje at the 67th Grammy Awards held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Tems emerged victorious in a competitive category, besting other talented artists, including Yemi Alade (Tomorrow), Asake (MMS), Chris Brown (Sensational), and Burna Boy (Higher). This marks her second Grammy win, following her 2023 victory for Best Melodic Rap Performance for her collaboration with Future and Drake on Wait for U.
Tems had three nominations at this year’s Grammys, bringing her career total to eight. Her achievement continues to solidify her position as one of Africa’s most celebrated artists.
