Controversial Nigerian street singer Portable has turned to heartfelt prayers as he faces ongoing legal battles with the Ogun State government.
Taking to Instagram, the artist made an emotional appeal to God on behalf of his wife and mother, vowing to learn from his mistakes and seek divine grace.
Portable, known for his vibrant personality and controversies, posted a series of emotional prayers on Instagram, asking for forgiveness and blessings for his family.
God forgive me because of my mama and my wife. I learn from my mistake there’s a lot of things I’ll never do or allow again. God, do me as I want. Show me your grace. Let my dream come true,” he wrote.
In another post, he prayed for happiness to return to his family, stating:
God, make my family happy again. Oluwa loni glory Oluwa. Iyanu wa wo Ola iyanu.”
The singer’s posts come in the wake of legal troubles with the Ogun State government, which sealed his uncompleted building and hotel over alleged illegal development without proper permits.
In response to the situation, Portable canceled a scheduled show in London, citing the need to protect his family and properties. He expressed disappointment over the lack of appreciation for his contributions to Ogun State, stating that his efforts remain unrecognized.
In a separate appeal, Portable called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intercede with Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on his behalf. The singer lamented being ostracized in his state despite his loyalty and support for political figures like Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi).
Portable also accused his father of abandoning him during this crisis. According to the singer, he entrusted his father with funds to resolve the building’s issues, only for the situation to escalate.
