Hours after reports surfaced about Ned Nwoko’s alleged affair with Chika Ike, Regina Daniels took the step of deactivating her Instagram account. The news, reported by Kemi Filani, caught the attention of online users, with many speculating that the move came after learning of the pregnancy news.
Compounding the drama, social media users pointed out that Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, had previously congratulated Chika Ike on her pregnancy announcement with a comment:
“Wow. A very big congratulations to you dear.”
This comment has now become the subject of ridicule, with many mocking Rita for her apparent lack of awareness about the situation at the time. One user, Treasure_world77, commented:

The rumours surrounding Ned Nwoko and Chika Ike’s relationship are not new. Back in 2020, rumors surfaced that Ned was planning to marry Chika as his seventh wife, though he publicly denied the claims. Amidst the unfolding drama, Laila Charani, Ned Nwoko’s fifth wife, appeared to respond to Regina Daniels’ Instagram deactivation in a playful yet pointed manner. Laila shared joyful photos on her Instagram, captioning them:
“Love you today, tomorrow, and forever.”
The post has led many to speculate that Laila was indirectly addressing the situation and perhaps even taunting Regina.In the wake of the controversy, Ned Nwoko issued an official statement debunking the claims of him fathering a child with Chika Ike. The statement, shared via his communications office, stated that the rumors were baseless and urged the public to ignore them.
“We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation… Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions.”
The statement reaffirmed that media outlets should rely only on official communication from his office and dismissed the rumors as part of the distractions common to public figures.
