Popular media personality Solomon Buchi has stirred discussions online by declaring that dating and talking stages should be banned due to their lack of biblical foundation. In a video shared on his social media page, Buchi emphasized that the practice of dating is unbiblical and unnecessarily complicates relationships.
In the video, Solomon Buchi explained that men in biblical times were deliberate in their pursuit of marriage. According to him, there is no biblical account of men engaging in a “talking stage” or casual dating before marriage.
Where in the Bible have you seen someone say, ‘I want to get into a talking stage with your daughter’? Men were very intentional. They would say, ‘I want to marry you,’ and take action toward that,” Buchi asserted.
He further highlighted that modern dating practices have added unnecessary complexity to relationships, creating confusion and instability in society.Buchi’s viewpoint has sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some praised his stance for promoting intentionality in relationships, others criticized it, arguing that modern relationships require time to build compatibility and trust.
