Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has joined the growing list of celebrities advocating for the release of social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM), despite his past criticism of her.
Taking to Instagram, Destiny praised VDM for his bravery, truthfulness, and relentless advocacy for those in need. She acknowledged the significant impact he has made through his activism and charitable contributions to society.Destiny revealed that VDM had previously dragged her online over her new car, but she chose to rise above the negativity, recognizing the good he has done for many Nigerians.
For the fact that this young man has done a lot that we all can’t do, I have every reason to keep quiet… but I haven’t checked the good he has done,” she wrote.
The actress implored her followers to support VDM’s release, emphasizing his unique role in giving a voice to the voiceless and his unwavering commitment to societal betterment.
Rita Edochie praised VDM as a rare advocate for truth and societal progress, stating that silencing him would leave a void in activism. Davido acknowledged the positive impact of VDM’s work and called for his freedom. Cubana Chief Priest lamented the joyless atmosphere since VDM’s arrest, hoping for good news. VDM’s lawyer, Denise Adeyanju, confirmed his arrest, which has sparked an outpouring of support from fans and celebrities alike.
