Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has openly criticized a movie editor for allegedly ruining her hard work and investments. The actress, who recently produced a movie, took to her Instagram to express her frustration and anger over what she described as the editor’s unprofessional behaviour.
Sarah Martins revealed the emotional and financial toll of producing a movie single-handedly, without any external assistance. The project, which took her nearly seven months and millions of naira, was delayed and poorly handled by the editor she entrusted with the work.
In her post, she recounted waiting six weeks—well beyond their agreed timeline of two weeks—only to receive a subpar result:
“Waited for this devil to release my movie for the past 6 weeks after having an agreement of 2 weeks. This evil man ended up sending a bunch of crabs.”
Unable to contain her disappointment, Sarah vented her emotions, cursing the editor for frustrating her efforts:
“As long as there’s God, you will labour in vain! … God will remove food from your table until eternity.”
She emphasized how her sweat, sleepless nights, and hard-earned money were wasted on this project, lamenting that despite her resilience, the betrayal pierced her heart deeply.
This incident followed Sarah Martins’ recent statements defending her integrity. The actress had called out an individual who belittled her job, stating that her hustle earns her ₦5 to ₦10 million monthly. She expressed pride in being a legitimate worker and dismissed comparisons to those who rely on immoral means for financial gains.
Sarah Martins has been vocal about various challenges in her career. Last year, she slammed a male colleague who made inappropriate remarks about her after watching a scene in one of her films. The actress has consistently defended her dignity and work ethic in the face of criticism and challenges.
