Nigerian talent manager Ubi Franklin has hit back hard at critics who slammed him online for his recent courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja. The visit, reportedly organized by music star Davido, also included socialite Cubana Chief Priest and other members of Davido’s crew, 30bg.

Following the widely publicized photos of the meeting, Ubi faced a wave of online backlash. However, he took to Twitter and Instagram to call out the hypocrisy of his detractors, pointing out that many who criticize him wouldn’t hesitate to meet their Local Government Chairman — let alone the President.

In his candid posts, Ubi Franklin declared that if given the chance to meet the President again, he would do so “again and again.” He urged his haters to continue their insults, noting that he has been misunderstood, abused, and lied against for too long, yet remains unbothered.

He also reaffirmed his political allegiance, stating,

I have never hidden that I am a full member of The APC.” Ubi’s message emphasized that criticism often comes from people who would do the same if in his position.

Sharing a powerful collage of the visit, he concluded with a defiant tone, telling his critics to “Dey alright.”

Ubi wasn’t alone in facing criticism. Socialite Cubana Chief Priest was criticized for kneeling to greet Vice President Kashim Shettima during a previous encounter. In response, Cubana shared throwback photos of himself and his wife kneeling when they first met Shettima, emphasizing his loyalty and respect for the Vice President, whom he called “father.”

On Sunday, Cubana also met President Tinubu, sharing a video and reaffirming that nothing can break their spirit. He later met Senate President Godswill Akpabio, advising the public to align themselves with powerful and promising individuals.

During the trip, rumors circulated about a heated physical altercation between Ubi Franklin and Cubana Chief Priest at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. Ubi promptly dismissed the reports as false and called anyone who believes them a “f**l.”
