Big Brother Naija star Pere Egbi has defended housemates Isabella and Kayikunmi after their intimate moment in the season 10 house sparked criticism online.
Former BBNaija housemate Pere Egbi has spoken out in defense of season 10 contestants Isabella and Kayikunmi, who have been trending after a steamy moment in the house caught on camera.
During a live broadcast, Isabella was seen sharing a kiss with Kayikunmi before moving to the bedroom, where he briefly sucked her breasts, actions that drew heavy backlash from viewers, particularly because Isabella is a single mother of a teenager.
Reacting via Twitter (now X), Pere criticized Nigerians for being overly emotional and judgmental, claiming they are not truly prepared for reality TV.
I said it before, I’ll say it again—Nigerians think they’re ready for reality TV, but truth is, they’re not,” Pere wrote.
He further slammed the public for slut-shaming Isabella despite the show being rated 18+, questioning how people intend to fairly vote for a winner while engaging in wrongful judgments.
Too emotional, too judgmental… just anyhow people. Na una wan vote winner? When you’re all judging wrongly and slut-shaming a woman for showing her boobs on a show rated 18+ on national TV? Mtchewww,” he added.
Pere is known for weighing in on trending matters. Recently, he spoke about late President Buhari’s passing and defended Sharon Ooja’s husband against false rumors. He also previously commented on Davido’s custody battle, emphasizing that no child should be denied a relationship with their father.
