Nigerian music sensation Davido has unfollowed Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, sparking reactions online as her feud with social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM) intensifies.
Recently, VDM shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp message allegedly sent by Iyabo in a controversial group chat formed during the fight for late singer Mohbad’s justice. Following this, sharp-eyed fans noticed Davido had unfollowed Iyabo, though she still follows him.
Davido’s action isn’t surprising to many, given his close ties with VDM. Earlier in May, during VDM’s arrest, Davido publicly called for his release, praising his positive impact on society. The singer has also referred to VDM as a “freedom fighter,” a sentiment he shared during a past hangout.
VDM has repeatedly defended Davido in controversies, including allegations of his bodyguards attacking businessman Abu Salami. He dismissed claims of foul play, insisting there was no evidence of anyone being killed.
