Popular Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest is still dealing with the pain of missing his best friend Davido’s grand wedding to longtime partner, Chioma Rowland Adeleke, in Miami, Florida.

The nightlife boss, who could not attend due to visa issues, shared a screenshot of a FaceTime call with Davido on Instagram, congratulating the newlyweds while admitting he was holding back tears.

Happy married life, bestie. Water full my eyes. But I will be alright forever,” he wrote.

Earlier, Cubana had explained that his absence was due to a pending U.S. visa application, a situation he described as disappointing but temporary. He maintained that “delay is not denial” and found comfort knowing his wife was present in Miami to represent him.

Cubana has long been one of Davido and Chioma’s staunch supporters. When the couple reconciled in 2022, he publicly prayed for them to have more children and often praised Chioma for making the people of Imo State proud.

On the wedding day, he donned an agbada reportedly worth ₦7 million in solidarity, even though he could not be there physically. Interestingly, fellow celebrity Yhemo Lee revealed he also missed the wedding due to a similar visa denial.

Despite their absence, celebrities who could not attend took to social media to celebrate the couple. Eniola Badmus wished the marriage to be “sweeter than Fall and stronger than Aye,” while Ruby Ojiakor called Davido her “in-law and destiny helper” and praised Chioma as her Imo sister. Actress Christabel Egbenya also shared her joy, urging people to focus on the couple’s happiness for at least two weeks.

Davido and Chioma’s wedding, which many are calling “the event of the year,” has been the talk of social media, drawing love and attention from fans and celebrities alike — including those watching from afar with “water full” in their eyes.
