According to reports, AJ McLean, a member of the popular boy band Backstreet Boys, and his wife, Rochelle DeAnna McLean, have decided to temporarily separate. However, they are not filing for a divorce. The couple, who have been married for ten years, issued a joint statement to TMZ, saying that marriage is hard but worth it, and that they have mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on themselves and their marriage with the hope of building a stronger future.
The statement also asked for privacy and respect during this time. Especially for the sake of their two daughters, Ava and Lyric.
“Separation is hard enough without the commentary, please be kind and remember there are children involved,” the couple said in the statement.
AJ and Rochelle tied the knot back in 2011, after dating for six years. The couple got married at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The wedding was also attended by the rest of the Backstreet Boys crew.
