Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has extended his lead at the top of the appearances charts as he now has 109 caps for the Nigerian national team, after making a brief cameo in Nigeria’s win against Guinea-Bissau.
Since making his debut in 2010, the Nigeria Super Eagles player has netted 16 goals. With four goals, he is Nigeria’s leading scorer in the World Cup after scoring twice against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup.
He recently blasted his critics and said he will continue to play football for as long as his body allows him, stating that he would conclude his career in international football if the national team coach stopped inviting him to play for the squad.
Beneath him on the appearances chart are legends Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama with 101 appearances each.
Ahmed Musa currently plays for the Turkish Super Lig club Sivasspor.
