A Kano State High Court has deferred judgement in the case of Frank Geng Quangrong, a Chinese citizen accused of murdering his Nigerian lover, Ummukulsum Sani, 22.

According to NAN, the defendant, who resides in Kano’s Railway Quarters, is facing culpable murder charges.

Justice Sanusi Ado-Ma’aji delayed the case until March 29 for judgement after the prosecution and defence counsels, Muhammad Dan’azumi and Aisha Mahmoud, delivered their last written statements.

Recalls that on December 21, 2022, the prosecution finished its case against the defendant after presenting six witnesses.

The defendant also presented two witnesses, including Urologist Dr. Abdullahi Abubakar.

During his testimony, the accused said that the late Ummukulsum assaulted him with a knife.

“While I was defending myself, Ummukulsum bit me on my arm and finger and also injured me on my genital,” Frank stated.
